Courtney, my friend since 5th grade soccer, came out to visit this last weekend. This girl is truly amazing. I am extremely fortunate to have her in my life and to call her my best friend. - Court, you've always been there for me, you stood at my side on the most important day of my life, supported me through all the ups and downs for so many years. I never have to worry about being someone I'm not around you (or working out for that matter b/c we burn off so many calories just laughing!!). You are such a servant for the Lord, challenging me in my faith, always standing up for righteousness, and just a JOY to be around! I love you!

Colorado Christmas!!

I just got back from a very short, but much needed trip to Colorado. What a refreshing time it was...hanging out with the family, eating, and celebrating the wonderful birth of our Lord and Savoir! I know I know.. it's only the 18th of December...but with work things don't always go as you would like...so this year we celebrated early and it was GREAT! I miss you guys!!

Shannon and I went to a Christmas party last weekend that required us to wear the ugliest Christmas sweaters we could find. I set a budget of $5 total for the sweaters, went to Savers, and picked up these bad boys. Unfortunately, the Christmas sweater selection was not good, so we settled for just plain ugly sweaters. Kevin and Morgan (pictured) also managed to find some sick looking sweaters. Kevin's was at least 3 sizes too small, so he looked like Baby Huey.

What do you do when it is the last Saturday of college football and you have two plasma TVs in your house? I think the only logical thing to do is move the TVs together to combine for 92 inches of HD goodness. There was no way I'd let a perfectly good plasma TV sit in the other room while we had two great college football games going at the same time. Also, we needed to have a second TV available to play Guitar Hero III. I will miss those lazy Saturdays. Mark, Josh, Kevin.....we still have NCAA basketball to look forward to......Josh, I know you and your 8 foot HD theater screen are ready for it.

Brett and I took a very short trip down to Ogden to spend Thanksgiving with family. We have a lot to be thankful for this year, including our new nephew, Caleb!

Florida

Shannon and I took a vacation to Florida last week. It was our first real vacation by ourselves since our honeymoon. We stayed in Orlando for a few nights and Melbourne for a few nights. It was a BLAST! Here are some of the pics from our trip.

We found a Dunkin Donuts and stopped off for some coffee and pink sprinkled doughnuts. Mmmmm.

Notre Dame

This past weekend, my uncle Tim gave me the opportunity to see two of college football's most storied programs go head to head in South Bend, Indiana. I flew to Indiana to watch USC play Notre Dame (well, USC played while Notre Dame looked anemic). It wasn't much of a game (the Trojans crushed the Irish 38-0), but the entire trip was amazing. Walking through that campus and into that stadium and seeing all the history was like nothing I have ever experienced.

Another BSU Game

Shannon and I made it to anothe BSU game and this one turned out to be a thriller. The game against Nevada went to 4OT and a record was set for the most points scored in a game in NCAA Division 1-A football history. BSU prevailed and won the game by stopping Nevada on a 2-pt conversion. Final Score: BSU 69, Nevada 67. We had a pretty large tailgate party beforehand and had an awesome time.

All throughout our lives the Lord showers us with His goodness....His word, love, mercy, friendships, laughter...just to name a few. I am so grateful for all He has blessed me with. One of my biggest blessings are my parents who have always feared the Lord in every aspect of their lives. Having them around fills my heart with so much joy. They are an encouragement to me and my faith...what a wonderful example they've been not just to me but everyone that they meet. Dad & Mom, you will never fully know the impact you've had in my life. I could never show you the love and sacrifice you have shown me. Hands that serve and hearts that love. You guys are always a ton of fun to be around. Wish our time together wasn't so short. I am just so thankful you were willing to come spend sometime with us. Missing you lots, Shannon

Hawks Baseball Game

Thanks to some free tickets from the office, Shannon and I enjoyed our last Boise Hawks game of the 2007 season. The Hawks lost, but we still had a fun time. It was the first game this season that was actually chilly to be at. It was about 60 degrees by the time we left.

Labor Day

Because our work schedules are so different, Shannon and I don't get many days off together. Labor Day happened to be one of those days together, so we got to hang out for the day. We packed some stuff for a picnic and went to a park near our house. It was totally relaxing for us. See that pond in the picture....no dogs are allowed to swim in it. Maggie jumped in, despite our best efforts to keep her out. We finished the day by playing some volleyball with a few friends of ours. It was an awesome day.

I had a great time with you Sweet Sweet.....and thanks for watching "Out of the Blue" with me last night!

I didn't realize how close the right horn was to me...after Brett snapped the shot i stood up and got rammed in the booty! ouch!

I would say Brett and I are still pretty much kids. We went to the fair last year and had a really fun time! This year...i don't know..it just didn't do it for me.(Maybe it was all the animals attacking me??) I did learn however...those funnel cakes stands...they were bringing in $1800 an hour! I don't know how true that is...but the one guy running it said so..so who knows? Check out our pics.

Brett was given the opportunity to go on a rafting trip this weekend with some friends from church..I had to stay home and work. Plus I've never really been out in the outdoors camping, and I'm not sure how well I'd do. At any rate..he had a GREAT time and it was fun to hear all his stories. I got a little bored and decided our room needed some color. After work on Saturday I stopped by and picked up some paint and gave our room a splash of color. I think it's fun! What do you think??

Where'd his hair go? Brett always insists on having me cut his hair at crazy hours of the night....no joke. The last 2 haircuts have been later than midnight. Anyway, I PROMISE he asked me to do this. What do you think of his new look?? As you can tell from the picture, even Maggie can't stand to look at him. ;)

Wish i could be like her...finds such joy and happiness out of the simplest things!

Brett and his luck....I tell ya.....he just won this sweet navigation system at his company picnic on Saturday.

This is what i typically see after coming out of a store when Mag and I are running errands.

On our way to Colorado we stopped in Providence, UT and picked up this '99 Jeep Cherokee Sport. We needed a bigger vehicle to load our monster (Maggie) around in. Plus it will just be nice to have something a bit bigger to haul whatever else we decide to pick up...maybe a Chocolate Lab *wink* *wink*.

I decided it was time to change salons...it will be a good change. I am excited to see where the Lord will place me. Im really excited about not having to deal with parking downtown and the traffic on the way home! nor the 30+ min commute to work everyday. It's a bitter sweet thing....i will miss the good laughs and fun times we had.
